Sem 1, 07/08: Reflections

Ah, today marked my freedom. Not totally free though. I realized i had so much to do, and i wanted to stuff it all in a day.
First I collate all my files, since i wanted to reformat my comp. I'm finally done with that. This is sucky if you done really clean up ur comp that often. Next I need to prepare a checklist, pack..AND READ UP my Harry Potter..its soooo overdue.
Hm speaking of which, I have some overdue pics which I will show later.
Hahz, here are my holiday plans lemme list down so I dun forget

1. Finish the Deathly Hallows
2. Revise German 1 (Urgh, Study!)
3. Christmas Caroling plus rehearsals(sure is gonna be fun)
4. Celebrate my belated birthday with a key shaped cake or whatever :)
5. Pack my stuff and hope everything turns out fine
6. Buffet @Jogoya (a mustmustmustmustmust)
Shall update the list if anything pops up

Well since the title said reflections so now i shall do one
This sem...phew...is really a rough one..I'm glad I'm over with this sem
There were obviously many ups and downs, wished I could turn back time and turn those bad things around.
It started out badly, when I found out that in week one, I wasn't as keen to study as i was the past two sems. I remembered my yr 2 days was spent at the library daily..non-stop RBR-ing...haha those were the days..i remembered returning those RBR books 2-3am everynight just to chiong..Glad it did paid off..
So I hoped when week 2 or 3 came, I may slowly get the pace..but NO..it still din come through...Sighz..so i tot..maybe change this sem's strategy a little
so i decided to implement the CHIONG LAST MINUTE Strategy..while still reading lecture notes after every lecture(Immediately after one)
Unlike last sem, I did not touch the textbooks as much as I did before. It was very minimal, which worries me
So came the day in wk 6 where i had two exams. Surprisingly, they turned out quite ok, and I was very surprised with Biz Policy. So i thought studying last minute paid off huh.
Then right after sem break there was this VERy DIFFICUlT Financial Market mid term which had a 40 percent weightage. Immediately after the exam I had a bad headache, thinking I did badly. But a month later,I got the results and was quite satisfied:)
Then came the wake up call, when I screwed my Investment mid term. Coz i got below the class average, which made me supppper worried.
From then on I sooo hate investment banking that i vow not to take up a Investment Banking job (Banking job like in OCBC still can ler)
Then after those crappy exams were the projects. Out of 5 modules, four had super loadful of projects, which I suppper hate...
Then the feeling of working with ppl u dun like makes it even worse..BAH..shall not elaborate here
Then came the final exam: Investment wus OK, Strategy totally sucked, Today's Service ops..I'm just speechless man..Oh i forgotten Cybercrime and Financial Markets totally sucked as well..i tot both was goin to be easy..but NONO
So with all the sucky exams, I guess I'm prepared to get sucky grades huh
But I took away some lessons to be learnt this sem
NEVER STUDY LAST MINUTE
STUDY RIGHT FROM WEEK 1
Hehe, i will follow this religiously in my final year, after I enjoy my lovely holiday
I guess the challenges this sem was the transition from level 2 to level 3 modules..and loads of projects, it made me totally worn out lor

Ok i guess that's it..nid to map my modules, harry potter, so mannny things to do...PLS give me more time..and alot of pppl to meet too

PS: If you try very hard to read my blog, then u know why I always get B+ for essays and never A's coz I never organize it properly muahaha
we will see my results soon to prove it :(

Oh shucks i forgot my overdue photos hehe
I rewarded myself by having a sirloin steak at Aston's Express, PGP with pasta salad and baked potato as my sides. Tell you the steak was quite flavourful, but I was rather impressed with the baked potato which had butter smothered over it and the pasta salad..MMM..i LUV steak..i heart steak..so now I'm goin to try Hog's Breath set lunch keke..soup steak and MUD PIE..yums..gona be fat now..so bler.Hm but i cant afford to eat there anymore, until my SEP is over. PGP's so happening now lor, got good food, probably during my final yr will ask Ah Sze go PGP every Saturday night and try their Hongkie Baked Rice(mmmmmm), Beijing noodles super yummy slurp
and SOYA BEAn YUMMY my favourite..will go back to Aston's..will eat up the whole PGP..but make it cheaper la PLS>..i'm so poor..:(
Oh there's chong pang nasi lemak and cheese prata shop too..hehz
